Trading dresses and heels for aprons and a tie...

Born and raised in the south, I posses all the charms of a "Sweet Southern Belle"...until I joined the restaurant industry. Long hours, rude people and an infinity amount of Diet Coke refills has taken a toll on my manners...and not to mention my feet!

In order to make the most out of my time working as a server, I am challenging myself to use all of the communication skills I have learned throughout four years of college. Yes, that's right, four years of college. What am I doing as a server you might ask? Well, getting a masters degree isn't cheap either!

So, follow me as I blog about my daily interactions with restaurant guests, fellow servers and demanding management. All of my stories will be nothing but the truth. Hopefully, if you are not appreciative of the person fulfilling your demanding needs, you will be after reading my accounts!

Therefore, with four years of undergraduate studies and a few semesters of graduate studies focusing on communication, waiting tables should be a breeze... right?

Always at your service,
